Featured 5-minute programs include new work from MiND members, MiND, and Drexel University’s Center for the Prevention of School Age Violence on topics including cyberbulling, human trafficking, the Peaceful Posse (Physicians for Social Responsibility), The Anti-Defamation League, National Liberty Museum and more.

Featuring Dr. Chuck Williams as our panel moderator, we will present a discussion on violence and violence prevention with local leaders including:

- Charlotte Council, Deputy Commissioner, Philadelphia Police Department- Barry Morrison, Regional Director, Anti-Defamation League- Kevin Orangers, Progam Director, National Liberty Museum

- Wali Smith, Community Safety Expert

“One of the major issues, which will be discussed during the panel discussion will be bullying and cyber bullying. Another key issue will be community responsibility as it relates to violence prevention. Often, I am called upon to discuss either issue,” Dr. Chuck Williams.

This event is presented to the community to facilitate dialogue and create solutions to violence in our communities. MiND is dedicating our airwaves in July to violence prevention and exploring peace. Together, we can make a difference.

The MiND Member Hour at The Piazza at Schmidts

Just Announced: The special monthly, MiND Member Hour will play on the big screen at The Piazza at Schmidts every last Wednesday of the month! Earth Day is everyday - so come on out to enjoy some TV in the great outdoors - or, ahem, a city version of the great outdoors!

MiND will celebrate “Volunteerism & Mentoring Month” in May with a showcase of documentaries, new 5-minute programs, and a community screening event.

If you have some time in the afternoon, join us and our partner for the month, Greater Philadelphia Cares, to lend a hand in a clean-up day at the John Welsh Elementary School on May 19th at 5pm. But don’t worry if you can’t do the clean up day, come out at 6:30pm to celebrate volunteers and mentors in our community!

A screening of new 5-minute programs will start at 6:30pm, followed by a community discussion.

 The panel for the discussion will include:

In the month of April MiND TV is going green! Strap on your recycled rubber sneakers, grab a friend and get in your Philly Car Share Hybrid and come join us for a special screening of 5-minute programs and engaging discussion on the environment and sustainability!

Taking place at the idyllic Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education right near us in Roxborough (home to one of the largest organic farms in the Philadelphia area), this event is presented in partnership with the Nature Conservancy & the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Eduacation.
