MiND Bootcamp: You Can Do It!

 Join us for a one day workshop on, How to Make a 5-minute TV Program. Learn about concept development, video production, editing, and just about everything you need to know to bring your ideas to TV.

 

Camera Training: 2 Session Workshop

Session 1- TBD

Session 2- TBD

*Must have own video camera

In the first session, MiND instructors will teach you how your camera works and show you how to properly setup for various production scenarios.  The second session focuses on what you shot for your homework assignment. As a class, your shots will be critiqued to help develop your camera skills.

Pre Production Workshop

Wednesday, July 22  5 to 9 PM

Learn about concept development, storyboarding, how to shoot your project, release forms, copyrights, and more!

 Audio Recording Workshop

Date: Tuesday, July 14th 5 to 9 PM

This workshop will look at important considerations for recording audio in field productions, including choosing the proper gear for your projects. Learn how to properly pin a lavaliere mic, and how to use hand held and shotgun mics.

 

Editing Assistance Programs

 

Learn how to edit on a Mac computer using Final Cut Express! You can bring video you have already shot and spend the day with a MiND instructor to learn the basics of Final Cut Express or just rent our editing suite for the day!

Learn basic editing with Apple’s Final Cut Express, an exciting and powerful non-linear editing program that combines professional capability with consumer-level accessibility. Build a strong foundation that gets you started with logging, capturing, editing, transitions and much more. Sit with a MiND instructor and begin to edit your own project! Cost per session with a MiND instructor: $200.

 

Rent our editing system!

Already have the skills but need a place to edit? You can rent our editing system for $50 a day.

 

Availability

The editing suite is available by appointment only, Monday thru Friday 9 AM to 5 PM. You must bring your own external hard drive.

Digital TV Transition: June 12, 2009

By law, full-power television stations nationwide must begin broadcasting exclusively in a digital format by June 12, 2009.

MiND will present three channels available in the Philadelphia DMA:

• MiND: Media Independence on 35.1
• Global MiND on 35.2
• MiND Presents MHz Worldview on 35.3
