Monday, November 3rd, 2008

Hi there! Thanks for visiting the MiND blog, and while you’re here, check out our message boards, News and Events page, and most importantly, our new programs:

New programs from MiND members:

Golf Psychology: Target Oriented Golf

Member: Colin Cromack

Golf psychology books are fun to read but change very little in practice out on the course. Many clinical psychologists present hypnotic suggestion CD’s in order to help you relax and focus. Again, very little changes in practice for it is your conscious MiND which determines your behavior and performance out on the golf course in competition. Why has no-one ever SHOWN you how to apply their psychological theories in a practical way out on the course? Welcome to Target Oriented Golf, I hope it helps you enjoy your golfing life.

The Captain’s Watch

Meet Scott Cointot, a former deckhand, who has successfully navigated his maritime career and is now a Captain with the Tallship Gazela. Cointot describes his 20+year love affair with the sea, his duties as Captain and the surprising group of sea-loving individuals who come from all walks of life to serve as his volunteer crew.

New programs from the MiND production team:

What Is A Connector?

Leadership Philadelphia member Sozi Tulante is an example of a good connector. In his West Philadelphia community, Tulante organized a block party in his neighborhood, which never had a block party before. To fund this endeavor, Tulante had local businesses contribute to the cause. At one point, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell attended! To be a good connector, Tulante explains that one should be optimistic, curious, and empower passion in their community.

Good work everyone!
