Are there any plans for Direct TV to carry Global Mind?

My parents have Direct TV and it seems that they do not currently have a channel for Global Mind. Which means that in September, when the Korean programs are no longer shown on 35.1 (regular Mind) they will lose their ability to watch the Korean shows. That would be a bummer because they are really enjoying The Iron Empress.

My mom called Direct TV and no one seemed to understand what she was talking about. They seemed to not even know that Global Mind exists.

Any further info you can provide would be much appreciated.

R u kidding? The station is always off the air...don't get used to watching any shows, ie. Korean dramas, you will be sorely disappointed. They out to close shop and call it a day!

Direct TV and FIOS are expected to carry Global MiND in the near future. At this time, we do not know the exact start date. Comcast carries Global MiND on channel 265 (135 in NJ) and Cablevision in NJ will carry it on channel 115 starting in October. Of course you can get Global MiND directly over the air on 35.2 with a digital television or a television connected to a digital converter box.

Direct TV now carries globalMiND on 35.2! Subscribers who want to view globalMiND must have an HD box. Those with a regular converter box will not be able to receive globalMiND unless they upgrade.
